Be part of it! VMA Annual Awards now open for entries

The Veterinary Marketing Association is now accepting entries for their Annual Awards, the industry’s showcase awards event

The Awards will return to the 5 –star Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Friday 20 March 2020.

“Each year, the VMA brings together marketers from across the veterinary and animal health industries to recognise and celebrate success,” says VMA chair, Liz Rawlings.

“The Awards provide a unique platform to showcase and reward skill, creativity and professionalism in marketing industry products and services, as well as a fantastic networking opportunity, with more than 300 guests attending annually,” says Liz, who stepped into the role of chair in March this year.

Submissions are all completed online, offering a really simple way for entrants to upload their work for the appropriate category or categories. The Awards celebrate activities and projects completed throughout 2019; it’s an opportunity to retrospectively reward work completed during the previous year, adds Liz.

“We really appreciate the feedback we receive from our guests, sponsors and judges each year as it helps to continue our focus on enhancing the judging process and guidance to entrants, to ensure that submissions properly reflect the quality of work,” explains Liz.

New to the 2019 Awards is the Digital Innovation Award category. This award recognises the use of leading-edge digital technology in the veterinary/animal health market (can be technology previously used in other industries), or the innovative use of older digital formats.

The deadline for entrants to all Awards categories, including the VMA New Marketing Talent Award (formerly called Young Marketer of the Year Award), will fall on 8 January 2020, “We would encourage everyone to start working on their entries now rather than leave it to the run up to the Christmas holidays! However the short window in the new year does allow a little extra time for those that don’t make it before the end of the year.

“The VMA Annual Awards offer a fantastic opportunity to gain recognition and respect for your hard work and efforts in the veterinary and animal health arena,” says Liz. “We urge you to come and ‘be part of it!’”.
