Veterinary Insights – the specialist provider of veterinary analysis and insight – will be attending London Vet Show for the first time since being acquired by Carus Animal Health. The Veterinary Insights portfolio will now also include products from Médi Productions – a company which specialises in Visiocare client communication tools and is also part of the Carus group of companies. Veterinary Insights can be found on stand F55 where there will be an opportunity to win an iPad, as well as view the expanded range of innovative products.
The Visiocare Services range provides waiting room TV, animations and videos that can be used to explain procedures and treatments in the consulting room and a pet app, My Buddy, that can be personalised to the practice. There is also a package of content that can be used on the practice website to generate traffic and educate and inform existing clients.
Alexander Arpino is Managing Director of Veterinary Insights and says visual aids to communication are increasingly important in the digital age, “Two thirds of consumers say they would prefer to be educated about a new product or service via a short video compared to any other type of explanation, including it being presented to them face to face. We know that many people are by preference visual learners and videos can really help veterinary professionals demonstrate to clients their pet’s condition and how it can be corrected.”
Three new recruits have already joined Veterinary Insights to support practices. Business Development Manager, Emma Paine will be calling on practices in the south east and south west and Paula Stanway will support those in the Midlands, North West and Wales. They are joined by Business Development Manager, Douglas McCallum, who started with the company on 1 October.
For over 20 years Veterinary Insights has provided veterinary practices with valuable data through its free benchmarking service, Vet Viewer, which compares a vast amount of data points with regional norms. The company recently made the technology available to equine practices. The data allows practices to make important decisions about practice profits, healthcare services and its veterinary teams, helping them to strive for excellence.
In addition, Veterinary Insights works with the animal health industry providing tools for sales forces and Vet Rebates, which allows veterinary rebates to be accurately calculated and paid promptly. It also prepares bespoke reports into how animal health products are used in practice and across animal health categories.
Commercial Director of Carus Animal Health, Jolian Howell, says he is delighted to be working with the talented team at Veterinary Insights, “Data is becoming increasingly important to businesses of all sizes and can be used intelligently to drive performance. We know too that client communication is key to compliance with veterinary recommendations. In a study involving over 50 veterinary hospitals in the US, using Visiocare tools in the consulting room increased revenue by over 50 percent for dental conditions alone. That’s not just about practice profit but about great healthcare too.”
