BEVA gives veterinary professionals free membership for three months

BEVA membership offers easy access to a wealth of supportive resources and online CPD

From Monday 30 March BEVA is dropping membership renewal charges for all veterinary professionals for the next three months to help support vets during the COVID-19 crisis. Those within the profession who aren’t BEVA members will be able to sign up for a free online BEVA membership.

All existing BEVA members will have their membership automatically extended until 30 June 2020. BEVA is also inviting vets and vet nurses who are not currently BEVA members to join as online members free of charge until 30 June 2020.

BEVA President Tim Mair said: “In this extraordinary time of global crisis our profession, as with many industries, is under immense pressure. By offering free membership we are giving equine vets easy access to a wealth of supportive resources and online CPD to help them through these dark times.”

Key benefits a BEVA membership include:

  • Online access to BEVA Journals, Equine Veterinary Journal and Equine Veterinary Education
  • Free access to our online learning resources which include our monthly webinar series and a range of quick quizzes and activities to help vets and vet nurses top up their CPD requirements
  • During the COVID-19 outbreak we will be providing regular updates and advice to the profession through email and SMS to members meaning they get all the information we share first
  • The latest news from the industry via our popular eNews newsletter that is sent out every other Friday

BEVA are also looking at further ways to support the profession, which has Included making all BEVA Congress 2019 webinars available to members via the BEVA online learning platform.

BEVA launched free student membership to undergraduate veterinary students in January 2020, meaning BEVA can also provide additional support whilst teaching and placements are disrupted.

To sign up from Monday 30 March 2020 visit BEVA’s website.
