New date for rescheduled VMA Awards

Event will take place on Friday 18 June 2021

The VMA has announced the new date for its flagship Annual Awards event as Friday 18 June 2021. Once again being held at the prestigious Royal Lancaster London Hotel, the organisers have rescheduled the lunchtime event from March 2021.

Originally postponed from its annual date in March 2020 due to COVID-19, event chair Claire Edmunds is feeling positive about the new date: “The 2021 event will be a mix of awards from the postponed 2020 event along with some additional categories including recognition for campaigns and initiatives taken during the COVID-19 crisis.

“Postponing the 2020 awards just one week before the date meant that all the hard work by entrants and judges for this year had been completed. The 2021 event will include a celebration of these awards so that all the winners will still get their moment of glory on stage!” adds Claire.

“Like almost every event organiser this year the VMA team has been busy working remotely behind the scenes to ensure the right decisions are being taken at the right time for the Annual Awards and its stakeholders. Whilst the exact format for the 2021 event is yet to be finalised, we are very much looking forward to what we hope will be a cracking event for everyone!” she concludes.

The VMA has confirmed that all current ticket holders will be transferred to the June 2021 event, so no action is required except to save the date.
