Due to challenges posed by COVID-19, VBS Direct has decided to support the veterinary and animal care professionals with a series of free educational webinars with CPD certification. In order to fit into people’s work-life schedule, each lecture will be repeated at 2pm and 8pm during the week. The lectures cover a wide range of topics that should be interesting to a large breath of vets, nurses and animal rehabilitation specialists to help them through this difficult period.
The series of VBS Direct lecture webinars will incorporate up-to-date scientific data and general overview of the key therapies and health topics. The presentations will show videos and graphical publications, and hopefully help to plan for life when it returns back to normal whilst improving some aspects of veterinary professionals’ working life in the future.
The series starts on 14 April with Laser Therapy – science and clinical applications in veterinary medicine.
- Tuesday 14 April at 2pm: Laser Therapy – Photobiomodulation, Wounds, Musculoskeletal and Pain Management in Vet Practice
- Thursday 16 of April at 8pm: Laser Therapy – Photobiomodulation, Wounds, Musculoskeletal and Pain Management in Vet Practice
Further topics over the next 12 weeks will cover: regenerative medicine and platelet growth factors, setting up pain management clinics in practice, in depth look at science and pros and cons behind supplementation of companion animals, an overview about good practice and equipment in anaesthesia monitoring and fluid therapy, and finish with lectures on cryotherapy and modern surgical equipment for veterinary practices.
As the lectures are free and at convenient times, VBS Direct hopes this will help vets, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists across the UK and Ireland in their self-training and education.
