To support veterinary practices and staff affected by the COVID-19 emergency, the Veterinary Management Group (VMG) is pausing subscription renewals for all of its existing members for three months, in effect, giving them three months’ free membership. It is also offering everyone in the sector the opportunity to join the association for three months, also free of charge.
The VMG is the UK’s leading association for those working in leadership and management roles in the veterinary sector. Members benefit from a wide range of exclusive online resources, via its Resource Hub. They include:
- Practice Standards Scheme templates
- Example documents and protocols for personalisation
- A webinar library
- Study materials for the Certificate in Veterinary Practice Management.
The VMG has also collated on its website the latest content relating to COVID-19 as it affects veterinary businesses.
Commenting on this move, VMG President Mr Richard (Rich) Casey said: “In these unprecedented times, our members need help in order to ensure that they can continue to protect animal welfare and support animal keepers and owners, during the crisis and, critically, once we finally emerge from it.
“Leadership and management roles are incredibly rewarding but can also be lonely and stressful, particularly in times of uncertainty. Our recently launched online discussion forum for members is proving very popular, with best practice and emotional support being shared daily.
“Offering our members three months’ free membership and extending this to the wider profession is the responsible thing to do and we hope it will ensure that as many veterinary businesses as possible can benefit from the support and educational resources we offer.”
