VMG seeks input to help shape its future direction

VMG is asking members of the veterinary profession working in leadership or management roles to complete a short survey about different aspects of their role

The Veterinary Management Group (VMG) is asking members of the veterinary profession working in leadership or management roles – whether members of the VMG or not – to complete a short survey to help shape its future direction. Respondents will answer a range of questions about different aspects of their role.

Commenting, VMG President Richard (Rich) Casey said: “We are an evidence-based association and will use the research to enhance our understanding of today’s veterinary leaders and to explore their views on areas they find challenging and the types of support they most value. We expect the findings to offer a valuable insight into the state of veterinary leadership currently. We will also use the findings to extend the VMG’s range of personal and professional support, tools and resources to ensure that everyone in the profession benefits from 21st
century leadership.”

He added: “We’re looking for input from anyone working in a leadership or management capacity. This could include team leaders, head nurses, customer care leads, branch managers, clinical leads, social media influencers, HR managers and many other roles. All input is helpful and we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who takes a few minutes to complete it for us.”

The survey is open until 31 May and includes an option to enter a prize draw to win £50 of Amazon vouchers.

VMG is the UK’s leading association for those working in leadership and management roles in the veterinary sector. A not-for-profit organisation, it works to champion the professional and personal development of those in the veterinary profession through CPD, networking, certified management accreditation and the provision of educational resources.

To support veterinary practices and staff affected by the COVID-19 emergency, the VMG is pausing subscription renewals for all of its existing members for three months, in effect, giving them three months’ free membership, including access to resources, such as its recently launched Business Re-emergence Manual. It is also offering everyone in the sector the opportunity to join the association for three months, also free of charge.
