After the success with wheelchairs for handicapped dogs, the Czech startup AnyoneGo unveils another practical moving aid for dogs that cannot walk. The so-called drag bags expand the portfolio of products that bring disabled dogs back to life.
AnyoneGo already offers wheelchairs for disabled dogs, custom-made on 3D printers, and orthoses to support the front limbs. But now it presents another product for disabled dogs and their families – the drag bag.
“In developing our products, we cooperate with physiotherapists and veterinarians, and of course ask our clients and community for their opinions. We saw that there are other things that simplify the coexistence of handicapped dogs and their loving families. One of them is a drag bag,” the company’s CEO Martin Schenk describes the thought process of developing the new product.
The drag bag makes the care for a paralysed dog easier.
Dogs that do not control their hind limbs and thus have difficulty moving can already use wheelchairs. Their main goal is to restore the fluffiest family members’ freedom to walk, joy of movement and independence outside.
At home, handicapped dogs usually move by crawling and pulling the rear part of the body behind them. Although a smooth floor is a better surface for this type of movement than a gravel path on a walk, there is still a danger of constantly renewed, poorly healing abrasions. Also, some dogs are incontinent, which can increase the workload for their families.
“Diapers and drag bags are great tools, as they ensure that dog owners do not have to keep wiping the floors every time their dog walks by. It also protects the hind legs and other often abraded parts of the body,” says canine physiotherapist Nikol Holeszová.
Quality, function, beauty – AnyoneGo drag bags are designed and tested in collaboration with physiotherapists and veterinarians. They are made of harmless, quality materials in five main sizes and they are tailored to each furry client. The mesh on the back ensures ventilation and prevents excessive sweating of the dog, the smooth and firm material on the lower part facilitates movement and two long zippers make it easier to put the drag bag on and off. The perforated rubber pad inside ensures comfort, insulates from the cold floors and can be easily removed and washed. The adjustable collar and ingeniously placed rubber bands hold the bag gently in place.
Drag bags are hand-made in the Czech Republic by an experienced seamstress, who has personal experience in caring for a paralysed dachshund. Thanks to that, she knows what owners of handicapped dogs need and that the right tools can make their lives so much easier.
The AnyoneGo drag bags are available in six colors, and the company offers a special 15 percent discount until the end of January.
