Europe’s leading veterinary care provider launches dermatology product range in UK and Netherlands

IVC Evidensia introduces VetSoothe in partnership with Vetruus

With dermatology cases accounting for 21.4 percent of small animal consultations in UK veterinary practices, Europe’s leading veterinary care provider IVC Evidensia has launched VetSoothe to all of its UK and Netherlands clinics, an exclusive range of dermatologist recommended and clinically proven products – including innovative skin wipes that contain chlorhexidine, an ingredient proven to inactivate Coronavirus particles that may be present on pets coats.

IVC Evidensia has partnered with Vetruus, market leaders in clinically proven specialist dermatology products, to offer the high quality skin and ear care range which is only available from IVC Evidensia practices. This is the second product range developed by IVC Evidensia in under a year and follows on from the acclaimed Vetpro collection, a premium quality 100 percent natural healthcare product range launched in 2017, designed to support the ongoing health and wellbeing of dogs and cats.

Dermatology cases are some of the most commonly seen and hardest to treat presentations in practice. The VetSoothe range is designed to quickly and effectively manage symptoms to improve patient outcomes whilst making managing skin and ear cases as easy as possible for pet owners.

Edward Davies BVSc MRCVS, Chairman, IVC Evidensia UK Clinical Board commented on the new range: “This new launch is part of IVC Evidensia’s ongoing commitment to providing all of our colleagues with specific ranges of quality products for their patients. We are delighted to add a dermatology range to our existing exclusive brand ranges of nutrition and nutraceuticals.”

Vetruus’s Managing Director, Cathy Gurney said: “Vetruus is very pleased to be working with IVC Evidensia and providing them with the VetSoothe Dermatology range of products. We are passionate about dermatology and are looking forward to working with veterinary surgeons, vet nurses and support staff in IVC clinics to help them better understand skin and ear disease and ensure their patients receive gold standard treatment.”

Cathy added: “We are confident that the products in the Vetsoothe range offer excellent clinical advantages, with easy to use presentations that help owners better manage their pets at home.
Dermatology cases are often life-long conditions and can be difficult and frustrating to manage for vets and owners. This collaboration will help ensure more pets affected by skin and ear problems receive the best treatment possible.”

Available throughout all IVC Evidensia practices, the new VetSoothe range features several market leading products, each recommended by European Dermatology Specialists. This includes VetSoothe Clear Plus and VetSoothe Dermacleanse Wipes. The topical shampoo range have some of the shortest contact times available at 3-5 minutes, which improves owner compliance, a key component in achieving successful results.

In addition to the product range, IVC Evidensia practices will further benefit from a comprehensive support package from Vetruus. This clinic support includes the availability of Vetruus’s highly trained Territory Managers for in-clinic meetings and video conferencing, as well as a dedicated helpline with access to free specialist advice from European Specialist Dermatologists.

Ongoing professional development is also available with educational webinars by leading European Dermatology Specialists and dedicated Veterinary Nurse dermatology webinars. There is also access for all IVC Evidensia nurses to the Veterinary Nursing Dermatology Group to help build skills for them to assist in the management of skin cases through dedicated nurse dermatology clinics.
