Global PPE leader announces extended length gloves for vets

UK’s Pro X-Tended gloves protect up to the elbow against harmful chemical splashes

On 24 August, ASAP UK announced the availability of its Pro X-Tended Latex gloves, which are 400mm (almost 16 inches) long to protect wearers further up the arm; this is especially important for those handling dangerous chemicals, or who may be exposed to other substances, as they offer greater protection against splashes. The company believes the gloves are perfectly suited for the veterinarian sector, where the environment is particularly challenging.

All gloves in the Pro X-Tended range are powder – free and designed for optimum comfort and durability. The gloves meet the EN455 standard for single – use, which includes tests for penetration resistance.

Madan Natarajan, general manager at ASAP UK, commented; “Our extended length gloves are very popular in many environments, but especially where there is a danger of harmful chemical splashing as they protect much further up the arm. We believe vets in particular will find them ideally suited to the challenging environments in which they operate.”

All ASAP’s gloves are manufactured, inspected and packaged with no direct skin contact; they go straight from machine to box. This is vital in an industry where hygiene control is critical. The company also manufactures Medical Grade (Type IIR) face masks, which include a layer to protect against splashes.

ASAP UK was founded in 2019 and is part of a group that started in Malaysia as ASAP international in 1988; the company now has a presence in over 80 countries worldwide. All ASAP products are fully certified.

The company recently announced that its global bestselling range of cleanroom gloves is now available in the UK; these products will be formally launched at the Cleanroom Technology Conference at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham on 14 to 15 September; the company is on Stand E7.

ASAP products can be ordered directly from the company’s UK – based distribution partners, and most products are available immediately ex – stock.

Natarajan added; “We are continually bringing new products to the UK market, and these extended length gloves are a great example of this.”
