Major Portal Update for Premier Vet Alliance

Premier Vet Alliance launches a new update for its portal which aims to smooth the user journey and create efficiencies

An update for all users of the Premier Vet Alliance portal is on its way! Launching on 25 August 2021, users will see a brand-new portal with some time saving new functionality.

The objective of this update is to allow vets to spend more time being vets, whilst smoothing the user journey and creating efficiencies, where possible. There has been a particular focus on the Post2Pet service element of the portal, due to the increase in demand for home delivery.

The highly anticipated update has been prioritised, focusing on feedback regarding client and clinic needs, especially as both time constraints and staffing pressure in the veterinary industry have come to the forefront.

Focusing on ease and time saving objectives, the updates will have a positive impact on day to day demands, ultimately decreasing admin time spent on managing prescriptions.

It includes the functionality to allow nurses to create prescriptions, followed by the vet approving the prescription; saving valuable time for staff, improving efficiency, and allowing vets to concentrate on treating sick animals. Improvements have also been made to the prescription form, in terms of ease of usability.

There will be a new tab in the portal which will helpfully list actions such as new prescription requirements, approvals, and historical orders, reducing confusion of when prescriptions were ordered, whilst cutting waste.

Gerry Harkins, Premier Vet Alliance’s commercial director said, ‘The timing of our home delivery and prescription management upgrade could not be better.’

‘70 percent of our clients are struggling for time, and our upgrade enhances the user experience and reduces time required from vets.  We are focused on making home delivery more accessible. Adding home delivery to your Pet Health Plan as standard will reduce unnecessary footfall into the clinic and leave more time to see and treat sick pets.’
