SPVS and VMG launch programme for Congress 2022

SPVS and VMG are delighted to announce the lecture programme for their Leadership and Management Congress 2022, proudly supported by Citation and Elanco

2022 will see a welcome return to a face-to-face event for the SPVS and Veterinary Management Group (VMG) Leadership and Management Congress 2022, proudly supported by Citation and Elanco. The event will be taking place at ICC Wales, Newport on 21 to 22 January 2022. To register and for full details of the programme and sponsors, visit the Congress website.

The SPVS-VMG Congress is the UK’s leading non-clinical veterinary conference offering stimulating and innovative CPD content from speakers within the veterinary profession and beyond.

Highlights from the programme include:

  • Congress opener – firefighter, psychologist and writer, Sabrina Cohen-Hatton
  • Carolyne Crowe, VDS Training, on leading when you don’t have all the answers
  • Brian Faulkner, Colourful CPD and British Veterinary Receptionist Association (BVRA), sharing legal must knows as a new manager
  • Lucy Grieve, British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) SVP, discussing equine flexible working and out of hours
  • Dave Nicol, VetX International, on time management
  • Lou “the Vet Nurse” Northway, highlighting nurses as QI ambassadors
  • Iain Price, VDS Training, addressing imposterism for both you and your team
  • Dan Tipney, VetLed, examining practice culture change

SPVS and VMG will be presenting their own curated streams, along with streams dedicated to those that are new to management and considering setting up practice. Successfully trialled in 2021, Saturday afternoon will see a range of interactive workshops, pre-bookable in advance.

The accompanying exhibition hosts a wide selection of companies focused on the business, management, marketing and client-facing aspects of veterinary practice and will offer a full weekend stream showcasing all they have to offer.

Congress will start on Thursday night with a networking evening to catch up with old friends and make new ones. This year’s presidents’ party will be the opportunity we all need to relax and have fun with the return of high energy festival and party band, RPJ, headed by Rick Parfitt Jnr.

While it will be great to be back in person, SPVS and VMG will be working with ICC Wales to ensure that all necessary COVID-19 safety protocols are in place to ensure all attendees can relax and make the most out of their Congress experience.
