The Animal Welfare Science, Ethics & Law Veterinary Association (AWSELVA) in conjunction with Sentient, have created a free webinar that will begin at 9:30 am (or 7:30pm Australian time) on Thursday 30 September 2021. Over the 90 minute webinar, the panel of experts will tackle a sensitive discussion on “When cruelty goes beyond the animals in our care” and how can we navigate the challenges presented in practice for vets handling these cruelty cases with co-existing violence in the home.
This event will be chaired by the Secretary of AWSELVA, Claire Corridan, BVMS, PhD, MRCVS, MVCI and the speakers will include Paula Boyden, Rosemary Elliot and David Martin.
This webinar is open to all members of the veterinary or supporting professions, animal charities, animal welfare or behaviour scientists.Places are limited to 100 and registration via Zoom is required in advance, early booking is advised.
