Teleradiology and teleconsulting company, VetCT, has identified a growing need to support practices in optimising their use of computed tomography (CT). The company is providing free CT training on the indications of use and image acquisition.
The first of the online sessions on 15 June will cover the indications and benefits of CT in small animal practice. The second on 22 June will look at how and when to perform CT reconstructions. Further topics are being planned for future dates. Each topic will be hosted live at two separate times to improve global reach. Manuel Pinilla, VetCT Supporting Radiologist and Director of Quality Assurance, will be delivering the talks.
Manuel says, “We are seeing a rapid increase in the use of CT in first opinion practice. We know CT can provide vital diagnostic information in addition to the more traditional modalities of x-ray and ultrasound. However, it can be challenging to optimise the diagnostic capability. We’re keen to support veterinary teams to help them get the most out of their machine and do the best for their patients and the owners.”
