Davies congratulates newly qualified Katherine Clarke

Katherine Clarke has been awarded Internal Medicine Specialist after passing her European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine diploma exams

Katherine Clarke, a clinician at Davies Veterinary Specialists (Davies) in Hertfordshire has been awarded Internal Medicine Specialist status having just passed her European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM) diploma exams.

After graduating from the University of Bristol in 2011 Katherine worked in a first opinion, small animal practice in Shropshire, where she began her certificate in small animal internal medicine.

Katherine Clarke went on to complete an internship at a large veterinary centre and referral service in the midlands, where she gained her certificate in internal medicine. She has been with Davies for four years and completed a three-year residency programme in small animal medicine in May 2021.

“Katherine Clarke has studied tirelessly for her diploma exams,” said Ian Battersby, head of internal medicine at Davies. “Through her residency she has grown and developed in so many ways and is now a core member of the Medicine team. She is an excellent clinician; I am extremely proud of the level she works at and it’s fantastic but also very much deserved that she has been awarded Specialist status. Congratulations Katherine.”

Davies now has a total of eight Internal Medicine Specialists, together with three residents in medicine and a medicine intern.
