Suveto has announced an important, strategic addition to its team and commitment to create diverse career opportunities and offerings for the veterinary industry with the appointment of Dr Heather Loenser.
A powerhouse in the veterinary industry, Heather Loenser will serve as the vice president of professional development, culture, and well-being for Harbor Vet by Suveto.
A graduate of Iowa State, she spent nearly 10 years as an emergency veterinarian and most recently served as the chief medical officer at AAHA. Heather Loenser, a champion of effective communication, has not only coached hundreds of veterinary team members on data-driven communication techniques, but also educated pet owners through national television, with appearances on the Today Show, Dr. Oz and CBS.
A born “connector”, Heather Loenser explains that one of her real passions is “connecting the humans of animal health with one another to improve the well-being of each individual and the industry as a whole through authentic conversations and educational experiences.”
Suveto’s distinct ownership opportunities will now be paired with a professional development team led by Heather.
“I am overjoyed to be joining the Suveto team. Their audacious goal to change the future of veterinary medicine through ownership, growth, and well-being aligns so well with the calling I have felt for so long, that I immediately knew this was a perfect fit,” she said.
Joining Harbor Vet by Suveto, a member community focused on the development of veterinary professionals through experiential learning, Heather Loenser will focus on offering a more robust line up of programming to enhance professional skills and improve veterinary practice cultures while building a foundation of personal well-being that spans the entire “life cycle” of a veterinarian – from student to seasoned practice owner.
Suveto President Courtney Post said Suveto “has won the lottery with the addition of Dr Heather Loenser because of her ability to continue supporting and empowering the veterinary community and those creating its future.”
