Sian Tranter to headline veterinary webinars

Vet and clinical supervision advocate Sian Tranter is to headline two webinars on using clinical supervision for Premier Vet Alliance’s webinar series

Vet and clinical supervision advocate Sian Tranter will headline the second and third webinars in a series of events being hosted for the veterinary community by Premier Vet Alliance, the global leader in delivering animal healthcare plans.

Sian Tranter, a vet with 26 years experience, discovered that, after returning to work following maternity leave, chatting cases over with colleagues to debrief and collaborate was impossible when rushing home to care for her child. As a result, her job satisfaction and clinical confidence quickly waned and she recognised that there was a lack of support in a busy working day for vets in isolated roles, including time-poor parents, locums, remote roles, sole charge practitioners and emergency vets.

Seizing an opportunity out of a challenging situation, Sian Tranter decided to train in the proven model of clinical supervision to help vets love their jobs again and be the best they could be. Now, through her business VetReflect, Sian supports veterinary staff to resolve issues in their day-to-day working life, whether big or small, clinical or non-clinical, through challenge, support, guidance and direction.

In the hour-long interactive webinars (listed below), Sian Tranter will concentrate on providing practical advice to support clinicians and promote both personal and team development.

“We are very fortunate to have secured Sian Tranter for two of our webinars this year,” said James Tudor, Premier Vet Alliance’s head of customer experience. “Her many years working as a vet, coupled with her tough experience returning to practice after maternity leave, have led to her devising a model which has improved the lives of vets, nurses and practice teams.

“Staying in practice can be tough. Managing time, stress and burnout are imperative as is creating a happy and supportive working environment for team members so that they remain in their roles and develop with the practice.

“Sian Tranter’s two sessions will be enjoyable, practical and interactive and we are sure that in just an hour, delegates will gain some great ideas to put into practice.”
