SPVS announce future CPD events

SPVS’s upcoming CPD events for 2022 will include a quality improvement workshop and a webinar series on how to improve online marketing

SPVS have announced their upcoming CPD events for 2022, which include a quality improvement workshop and a webinar series on how to improve online marketing.

Reducing client complaints – turn mistakes into learning opportunities

  • Quality improvement workshop on 26 April 2022

Practice life in a veterinary practice can be demanding enough without having to manage client complaints. So, SPVS have teamed up with RCVS Knowledge to offer members and non members a full day interactive, virtual CPD workshop, which will give delegates practical tips and ideas to help manage day-to-day life in a busy practice, advice on how to turn mistakes into learning opportunities and how to reduce internal errors.

The day will start with an introduction to quality improvement, covering audits in clinical settings, checklists and systems, as well as looking at why errors occur and how to run a successful no-blame “significant event” audit. There will also be opportunities to share experiences with other delegates.

Speakers Pam Mosedale and Amelia Poole from RCVS Knowledge bring a wealth of experience in this field.  This workshop would benefit anyone involved in practice management, reporting and operating procedures and improving practice systems.

Webinar series “digital and content marketing for vets” – improve your online marketing

SPVS have tied up with digital marketing agency, Connected Vet, to deliver a free ten-part webinar programme to help practices improve their digital marketing skills. These 30-minute lunchtime sessions will be running from April to July. The series is designed to give busy practice staff the most useful and usable insights in the minimum possible time.

The series will start by looking at the qualities of good websites, move onto how to create digital and content marketing plans, and cover search engine optimisation (SEO), pay per click, email and social media marketing, as well as how to write for online audiences. The series will conclude with how to deploy analytics and be data compliant.
