Dechra has launched a new webinar called “Revolutionising poultry deworming – exploring alternative approaches” to help encourage different approaches to deworming.
Producers and vets are being invited to join the webinar, which will be presented by Dr Maarten De Gussem, DVM, global poultry consultant at Vetworks, which serves the poultry industry with a global team of specialists and provides support on poultry health topics around the world.
Maarten has over 20 years of experience in the poultry industry; he is an academic advisor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Ghent University and is the author of Broiler Signals, a leading broiler management book which is available in more than 12 languages.
With his extensive knowledge and expertise in all aspects of poultry health, Maarten will share updated facts and deworming best practices during the hour-long webinar, which is available to view live on two dates:
- 5pm on Tuesday 17 October 2023
- 10am on Tuesday 24 October 2023
Johnny Wells West, key account manager – pig and poultry at Dechra, says: “Worms can negatively impact both performance and welfare.
“It is therefore important to support producers with educational initiatives like this webinar to help them explore alternative approaches to deworming to control worm infections, which will minimise productivity losses quickly and cost-effectively, as and when required.”
