The webinar, which is part of a winter nutrition knowledge sharing series hosted by the feed brand, has been accredited with six CPD points.
The one-hour session will be presented by Sarah Nelson who is a nutritionist for Spillers.
She will be sharing practical guidance and top tips for horse owners on gastric ulcers and nutrition, with a Q&A session at the end.
Continuing professional development (CPD) in equine nutrition provides equestrian industry professionals with the opportunity to keep their nutrition knowledge and skills up to date in a formally recognised way.
The gastric ulcers and horse nutrition AMTRA accredited webinar is the second of a series of four free webinars organised by the expert nutrition team behind Spillers to help horse owners wise up on equine nutrition.
The series has generated a big fan club to date: 230 signed up to “Essential winter feeding tips for horse owners” on 17 October 2023 and a further 250 have already signed up in advance for the others:
- Gastric ulcers and horse nutrition: owner’s guide (six AMTRA CPD points): 21 November 2023:
- Ageless equines: feeding and care for senior horses: 11 January 2024
- Spring slim-down: feeding tips for overweight horses: 27 February 2024
“The popularity of our webinars is a real reflection of the big appetite that UK’s horse owners have for nutrition knowledge, to help them become even better horse owners and carers,” said Sarah Nelson, nutritionist and product manager at Mars Horsecare, home of the Spillers brand.
”We are delighted that our gastric ulcers webinar is now AMTRA accredited, bringing even greater value to those who are working towards more formal recognition of their nutrition knowledge.”
The CPD accreditation is only available for AMTRA RAMAs/SQPs (Registered Animal Medicines Advisors/Suitably Qualified Persons).
