Vet Sustain is excited to announce the release of their new online CPD course “A sustainable approach to clinical veterinary practice”. Designed to empower veterinary professionals to drive change within their workplace, this course will equip delegates with the tools, evidence base and individual support needed to implement sustainability initiatives within their workplaces more successfully.
This 10-module, 35-hour online CPD course has a small animal clinical practice focus, covering key areas of sustainability such as carbon footprinting, responsible resource use, responsible medicines use, waste management and behaviour change. The course has been designed for anyone working in clinical veterinary practice; vets and nurses, and members of the management or administration team. It is also valuable for those complementing external accreditation schemes such as Investors in the Environment or the Environmental Sustainability Award from the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme.
Vet Sustain has brought together subject experts to create this LANTRA-accredited course, with subject champions leading each module, sharing their thoughts, expertise and tips on implementing green initiatives in practice. Delegates will explore sustainability topics such as anaesthesia, parasiticides and antimicrobials through written content, videos, interactive tasks, quizzes and case studies. Completing this course will kickstart your sustainability journey by creating a sustainability framework for your workplace to include policies, audits and action plans.
The course is now open for registration, and learners can commence their learning from this Earth Day, Monday 22nd April 2024. The course will count as 35 hours towards your CPD requirements, and with the flexibility of online learning, it can be completed at a time that suits your individual schedule.
