First ever winner of new marketing award announced

The first monthly winner of the new VMAzing award is Graham Skelton from Orchard Vets

A brand new, monthly marketing award has been launched by the Veterinary Marketing Association, to recognise and celebrate the unsung heroes in the animal health and veterinary marketing community.

The award, VMAzing, intends to provide a regular platform to celebrate those individuals going above and beyond to deliver outstanding results, consistently demonstrating creativity, innovation and dedication in their marketing efforts.

Ian Morris, chair of the Veterinary Marketing Association, says, “We believe it’s essential to acknowledge and appreciate the exceptional talent within our industry across practice marketing and industry roles.

“We know there are social media wizards to campaign champions that are going unrecognised in their roles, and this new monthly award is designed to shine a light on these individuals.”

The first monthly winner of the new VMAzing award is Graham Skelton from Orchard Vets, Hexham, who is a prime example of this talent, being awarded for his innovative marketing campaign.

Graham Skelton

Graham’s outstanding dedication to the pet and veterinary community has earned him the prestigious title of April’s VMAzing Award winner. Tony Noble of Noble Futures Recruitment, one of the judges and sponsors of the award, praised Graham’s unwavering commitment.

“Despite the tough competition in this month’s nominees, selecting Graham Skelton as our monthly VMAzing award winner was a confident decision. We found Graham’s unwavering dedication to the veterinary and local community truly admirable,” Tony adds

“His innovative marketing campaign not only promotes his practice but also actively supports the local community and pets. Through his charity competitions, Graham has raised over £1,500 for the local food bank, demonstrating true compassion and generosity. His commitment goes beyond donations with free health checks for local pets in need.

“Graham’s efforts in veterinary and marketing perfectly embody the ethos of our award, and we’re proud to celebrate his outstanding contributions as our first VMAzing Superstar.”

Congratulations, Graham, on this well-deserved recognition!
