Vetoquinol has announced its first webinar of 2024, focusing on pain management in cattle. Led by international speakers, the Achieve Better Milk Together (ABMT) webinars are free to attend.
“Practical approaches to cattle pain management” is the subject of the webinar, happening live on 26 March at 6pm GMT. Subtitled “From detection to treatment”, the session will focus on pain mechanisms and the different types of pain, pain detection and pain management for mastitis, lameness and calf health. Registration is free via ABMT Website.
Professor Raphael Guatteo, professor of bovine health management at ONIRIS in Nantes, France, will lead the session and share his valuable experience.
Prof. Guatteo is the vice president of the European Board of Veterinary Specialisation and heads the Department of Farm Animal Health & Public Health at ONIRIS.
Pain in farm animals is typically assessed through changes in body functions, behaviour and drops in production. Pain decreases animal performance, reducing farm income, so rapid detection and management of pain is key to maximising farm income.
“At Vetoquinol, we’re dedicated to supporting a veterinary sector committed to enhancing the quality of life for farm animals,” says Sean Riches, product & solutions manager. “The topic of this latest webinar is important in achieving dairy excellence as milk production is about healthy, happy cows. We strongly believe we can achieve so much more working together with vets and their practice teams.”
