Pet Blood Bank UK announce the relaunch of their annual awards

Charity Pet Blood Bank UK is excited to announce the relaunch of their annual awards, kindly sponsored by CVS Group

Charity Pet Blood Bank UK is excited to announce the relaunch of their annual awards, kindly sponsored by CVS Group.

The Heart of Pet Blood Bank Award seeks to recognise inspiring people, practices, and dogs who go the extra mile to support the charity. With new nomination categories that align with the charity’s core values, the relaunched awards offer an opportunity for those who contribute to the lifesaving work of Pet Blood Bank to be celebrated for their efforts.

The charity welcomes nominations from veterinary practices and individuals for anyone who has made an impact and gone the extra mile in support of the cause.

Nicole Osborne from Pet Blood Bank UK says: “We are absolutely delighted to have received such generous support from CVS Group for our awards. Pet Blood Bank is a charity made up of a passionate, enthusiastic, and supportive community who consistently go above and beyond for us. We are so excited to recognise their contributions and be able to thank them with these awards, thanks to CVS’ generous support.”

Chief executive of CVS Group, Richard Fairman, comments: “Pet Blood Bank is a vital charity doing crucial work within our profession. So supporting these awards was very important to us. Without the tireless work of the people, practices and dogs who volunteer their time and who donate blood – our profession would not be able to perform the range of life-changing and lifesaving veterinary services that we do. We are so pleased that these awards recognise these important individuals.”

The Heart of Pet Blood Bank awards ceremony will take place in June. Nominations can be easily made online via the submissions site.

Pet Blood Bank is the only charity offering a lifesaving blood service for all dogs across the UK. Just like the human blood service, dog owners kindly bring their much loved companions to give blood at one of the charity’s many donation sessions across the country. This blood is then processed and stored, ready to be sent out to vets when they need it for a patient. The blood is truly lifesaving with every donation having the potential to help save up to four other dogs.
