Sarah Stoneham
After starting her career in ambulatory equine practice, Sarah Jane Stoneham, BVSc, Cert ESM, MRCVS, joined Rossdale and Partners in Newmarket, working on the stud side of the practice. Over 20 years at Rossdales she developed a special interest in neonatal critical care, diseases of the foal/weanling and preventive medicine, including parasite control and nutrition.
Sarah set up (and ran) the Foal Care Unit at Rossdales Equine Hospital. Since then, she has spent a further 10 years in a mix of tuberculosis and sports horse stud practice, followed by four years at TopSpec Equine as a veterinary nutritionist. She is currently an academic at Liverpool University Veterinary Post Graduate Unit and a consultant to TopSpec. Sarah is involved in clinical research and published several peer-reviewed research papers and lectured both nationally and internationally.
