Online workshop focuses on autumn parasite challenges

Elanco Animal Health are hosting a workshop on autumn parasite challenges as part of their Access to Knowledge scheme

Vets, RAMAs and sheep farmers are invited to join the autumn Access to Knowledge (A2K) online workshop on Wednesday 4 September at 2:00pm, hosted by Elanco Animal Health.

Elanco ruminant technical consultant, Matt Colston says the A2K autumn webinar will address seasonal livestock health issues and look at the importance of following best practice, including the value of collaboration.

“As we enter the autumn months, parasite challenges change, and this season we’re expecting increased risk of ticks and liver fluke,” he says.

There is a comprehensive agenda lined up, with the webinar providing a series of insightful and educational sessions from industry experts. The topics covered include:

  • Vet-farmer-RAMA relationships: a collaborative discussion on best practice flock management
  • The ”ticking” timebomb: how to stay ahead of the evolving tick threat
  • The Parasight Live: Ben Strugnell (Farm Post Mortems) and Cammy Wilson (The Sheep Game) will host a live session of the YouTube series “The Parasight“ covering current parasite challenges
  • Liver fluke whiteboard workshop: an update on the threat of liver fluke and how RAMAs can guide farmers to managing this challenging parasite

The webinar will be rounded off with a Q&A session where attendees can ask the expert panel any questions they may have.

Attendees will need to register for the event. For further information and to sign up to the autumn parasite challenges please visit the website.
