Harrison Avian Research and Conservation Collaborative (HARCC) is pleased to announce its Request for Proposals (RFP) for 2025. Established in 2022, HARCC is committed to supporting innovative research that aligns with its mission to advance positive avian clinical results and promote long-term avian sustainability.
The 2025 RFP invites proposals on groundbreaking avian medical topics, including but not limited to diagnostics, surgical methods and support, nutrition, and behaviour. Proposals should aim to advance daily clinical practice or provide deeper insight into these areas of avian research.
Funding details:
HARCC will allocate up to $100,000 in total grant funding for 2025, with anticipated individual project budgets up to $20,000 for one-year projects. Indirect costs are not covered. Proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis, as there is no fixed deadline, with funding decisions shortly after review by the advisory board members.
Submission guidelines:
- Proposals must adhere to the submission guidelines outlined in the RFP
- Applicants should be actively engaged in avian research at accredited institutions and meet all IACUC requirements
- Projects must be completed within one year
Evaluation criteria:
Proposals will be evaluated based on their scientific merit, impact and relevance to HARCC’s mission, feasibility, budget justification, and clarity of technical writing.
Researchers are encouraged to collaborate with experts across disciplines to enhance project outcomes. HARCC particularly values projects that demonstrate immediate relevance to practicing avian clinicians or contribute to broader conservation goals.
