Dignipets: Pet QOL Tracker, which is now available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, has been created to help pet carers monitor their pet’s wellbeing and quality of life (QOL) trends with an easy-to-use interface.
At London Vet Show 2025, the Dignipets team will be at stand H62 – but they’re not just there to launch the app. The team are actively looking to connect with vets who are interested in starting their own end-of-life veterinary business, and to showcase how Dignipets supports both pet carers and veterinary professionals throughout the entire end-of-life journey – long before and long after euthanasia. The app is one tool in this broader mission to elevate compassionate care and collaboration in veterinary hospice medicine.
The app offers a simple and structured way for carers to record regular observations about their pet’s level of comfort, behaviour and general well-being. By encouraging frequent check-ins, the QOL tracker can display visual graphs that can help pet carers to track trends in their pet’s health over time. Carers can also book online QOL appointments and consultations with the Dignipets hospice team. The app also enables them to share summaries or raise concerns directly with vets and family promoting shared decision making and continuity of care.

“Simply visiting a pet in their home at scheduled appointments sometimes isn’t enough to get a full picture of their levels of comfort and quality of life” says Merel Taal, MRCVS, DVM, CHPV, founder and director at Dignipets. “The pet might be anxious about seeing the vet, or they may not be showing their usual symptoms during that visit, and this can make it challenging to give an assessment. The app allows vets to work hand in hand with pet carers to get the full picture, and it helps carers to feel fully engaged and involved in their pet’s care too, which is important to them.”
Alongside well-being check-ins, the app includes several features designed to support families through their pet’s end-of-life journey. Pet carers can download QOL reports to forward to other members of their family or their vet practice so that everyone can stay on top of their pet’s wellbeing, allowing vets to review changes and keep up to date on a pet’s progress between visits. For carers who need a bit of extra guidance and reassurance, direct access to the Dignipets Hospice Team through the app helps them to get access to quick support when concerns arise.
This integrated approach reflects Dignipets’ core philosophy: supporting carers throughout the entire end-of-life journey, not just at the moment of euthanasia. By providing tools and resources that foster ongoing communication and care, Dignipets helps both families and veterinary teams navigate this difficult time with greater confidence and compassion.
Dignipets will be at stand H62 at London Vet Show 2025, where Merel will be joined by Clinical Director Maja Redfern and Development Manager Jason Williams to demonstrate the app’s functionality, discuss how it can strengthen collaboration with vet teams who refer clients to Dignipets, and speak with vets interested in developing their own end-of-life practices. Access to ongoing quality of life updates helps vets to feel more connected to the case and their clients, strengthening collaborative care and underpinning the compassionate and caring approach that is at the heart of what Dignipets stands for.
The app can be downloaded now from Google Play Store and Apple App Store and delegates to London Vet Show are invited to visit the stand to learn more.
