Echo-guided RUMM block – Part 1 – musculocutaneous, median and ulnar nerves

This video demonstrates the RUMM block technique, which involves blocking the radial, ulnar, median, and musculocutaneous nerves in the forelimb. The video explains the identification of the humerus and its acoustic shadow. It shows the step-by-step process of inserting the needle and injecting local anesthetic to block the nerves. Aspiration is done before injecting the anesthetic to avoid injecting into the blood vessels. This technique effectively blocks the ulnar, median, and musculocutaneous nerves. The radial nerve block will be covered in a separate video.
